Get used to the view…

No, not that view. THIS VIEW. As the wife of an entrepreneur who’s global business operates 24/7, this will be your view literally ALL. THE. TIME. Get used to competing with their phone for a listening ear. Because you’re going to be on the clock. Whatever you wanted will take a backseat to “the needs of the business”. And if your husband’s like mine, their phone is their LIFELINE. Sending out emails, responding to emails, answering calls and making calls. Checking on open jobs, or jobs that just closed, confirming flights, and setting up future jobs. Planning his next trip, or just coming off his last trip. It will always be something- get used to it. This lifestyle definitely isn’t for the weak. Entrepreneurs have traded in a life of boring, predictable normalcy to feed their need to “shatter ceilings” and “disrupt the norm”, as my husband likes to say. They’re leaving their previous job where they worked somewhere around 70 hours/ week to work over 100 hours/ week, but this time it’s for themselves. And you’ll meet them at the various stages of this timeline. Some during, some after, and some like me who represent the true definition of “Ride or Die”…those of you who were with them before this was even an idea. It’s a very tough, very rewarding, and very scarce lifestyle…but it’s also very much worth it ♛
