Words from Meredith…
Relatable words from the very wise (yet very fictional) Dr. Meredith Grey. I feel that in many stages of our lives, as we grow and progress, we’re constantly trying to fit in… Whether we’re kids on a playground hoping not to be the last one picked for dodge ball, the one left without a partner for the group project in High School, or even the team project at the office. Regardless, the desire to fit in, to be wanted, to be accepted is something we all experience. The true question here is - how far will you go to be accepted and be popular? Often times, people lose who they really are trying to be what other people want (or what they think other people want). We’re all guilty of changing who we are at one point in our lives, even if it’s just for a moment…We try to sound cooler than we are when we talk to new people, embellish a little too much on our resumes or on an interview, and try extra hard to impress our new boyfriend or girlfriend’s parents. And that’s all good and fine, but don’t forget who you really are. I promise you, people will like that person much more ♛
