Role Model

As the oldest child (and only girl) in my family, as well as the oldest cousin, I was always told to set a “good example” for everyone younger than me. And for me, that was easy. Don’t get into trouble, check. Do good in school, check. Get a job and earn your own money, check. Once you’e a parent, though, it’s a completely different ballgame. That’s not even the tip of the iceberg. Having these tiny humans that you’ve created hang on your every word, move, and action is definitely stressful! As adults, it’s much more than just setting a good example for our children. We’re also raising them in the process, and they are a reflection of us. My advice - try the best (on the whole), to be the person you want your children to be. After all...you never know who’s looking up to you ♛
